What we promise
You write a letter to yourself today. We keep it, then send it back to your email address on 30 August 2027.
That date is the same for everyone, no matter when you wrote. It is not “a year after you wrote” — it is one date, for all of us at once.
What you need to do
- Click the verification link in our first email. Until you do, your letter does not enter the sending queue — that is what keeps something this personal from landing at the wrong address. If our email never reaches you because of a fault on our side, write to us and we will confirm your letter another way rather than let it be lost.
- Keep your email address alive until delivery day. If you change address, reply to any email from us.
What we cannot promise
- Your email provider may filter our message as spam. If it does, check your spam or promotions folder and mark it “not spam” — that helps your letter reach you next year.
- An email address that is no longer active on delivery day is one we cannot chase.
- Delivery runs in batches over several hours, so your letter may arrive in the morning, the afternoon, or the evening of that date.
When registration closes
We accept letters until 30 June 2027. After that the form closes — we use the two-month gap before delivery day to check that every address is still live.
Showing your letter
Showing your letter text on the home page is entirely optional and separate from delivery. If you allow it:
- Only the text appears — no name, no email, no photo.
- We may decline to show a letter that contains hate speech, someone else’s personal data, promotion, or anything unlawful. Not being shown does not mean not being sent — your letter still reaches you.
- You can withdraw permission at any time through the link in our emails.
Your words
Your letter stays yours. We claim no ownership over it, and we do not use it for anything beyond what is described here and in the privacy policy.
Please do not write other people’s personal data, financial details, or anything you would not want to receive back a year from now.
Stopping at any time
Every email from us carries a one-click unsubscribe link. Using it stops all email from this campaign — including your own letter. If you change your mind before delivery day, reply to the last email we sent you.
Changes
If these terms change, the version number goes up, and the delivery date will not be moved later without telling you at your email address.
